Unsere Tipps für Ihre Bewerbung

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Lead your Personal Statement with your PQE level and specialism in public children law, as the advert explicitly targets solicitors with 1–5 years' PQE in childcare and public law proceedings.

2

📊 Quantify your caseload: e.g. "Managed an active caseload of 35+ public law matters simultaneously, including 12 concurrent Care Proceedings cases" to demonstrate capacity and experience.

3

🏛️ Highlight any Legal Aid experience prominently — the advert flags this as beneficial, and Legal Aid-funded family work is a key differentiator for firms of this type in Leeds.

4

🎤 Include a dedicated Advocacy section or bullet points referencing court appearances (e.g. Family Court, ICCs, IRHs) as advocacy experience is specifically called out as advantageous.

5

🤝 Reference your experience working with vulnerable clients — parents, children, and families in crisis — as the advert emphasises sensitivity and complexity in client-facing work.

1Question

Tell me about a time you managed a particularly emotionally demanding case involving a vulnerable client — how did you maintain professional boundaries while providing effective support?

Situation: I was instructed by a mother facing the removal of her two young children in an emergency protection order application — she had no prior legal representation and was in significant distress. Task: I needed to provide clear legal advice under time pressure while ensuring she felt heard and supported. Action: I structured our first meeting to separate the factual briefing from the emotional debrief, used plain-language summaries after each court update, and liaised with her social worker to coordinate support. I also flagged safeguarding concerns to my supervisor promptly. Result: The client retained her composure throughout proceedings, instructions remained consistent, and the final care plan was agreed without a contested final hearing, saving approximately three weeks of court time.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to manage competing deadlines across multiple active casefiles. How did you prioritise?

Situation: During a particularly busy quarter I was carrying 42 active public law files, with three final hearings and two PLO meetings falling in the same week. Task: I needed to ensure all clients received adequate preparation without compromising quality on any matter. Action: I used a colour-coded case management tracker to rank files by hearing date and complexity, delegated initial document bundling to a paralegal, and blocked two full mornings for hearing prep. I also communicated proactively with clients whose matters were lower priority that week. Result: All three final hearings proceeded without adjournment, client feedback scores averaged 4.8 out of 5 for that period, and no complaints were raised with the firm's compliance team.
