Unsere Tipps für Ihre Bewerbung

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Highlight any previous cold store or freezer warehouse experience prominently at the top of your CV — the advert specifically requires working in a freezer environment, making this a key differentiator.

2

📊 Quantify your picking accuracy and throughput: e.g. "Picked 350+ orders per shift with 99.5% accuracy in a frozen food DC" to stand out against other applicants.

3

🎯 Mention shift flexibility explicitly in your personal statement — the role rotates between 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00 weekly, so demonstrating you can commit to both shifts is essential.

4

🌐 Reference any food hygiene or manual handling certifications (e.g. Level 2 Food Hygiene, Manual Handling certificate) as the advert calls out hygiene checks and safe stock handling.

5

🤝 Note experience with stock replenishment and goods-in processes at Booker, Tesco, or similar large-scale food distribution centres, as the 245,000 sq ft site scale signals high-volume operations.

Aperçu — adapté à Tesco

Dear Hiring Manager,

Booker's Freezer Warehouse Operative position at the Didcot distribution centre is a strong match for my background in cold store picking and packing and goods-in processing. The scale of the 245,000 sq ft multi-temperature site and the focus on accurate order fulfilment are exactly the environment in which I thrive.

My background in warehouse operations includes working rotating shift patterns in freezer environments, maintaining hygiene compliance, performing stock checks, and replenishing distribution centre stock to meet daily despatch targets. I am comfortable with the physical demands of cold store work and consistently achieve high picking accuracy under time pressure.

1Question

Tell me about a time you maintained high accuracy under pressure during a busy warehouse shift.

Situation: During the pre-Christmas peak at a frozen food DC, our team was 2 operatives short and daily pick targets increased by 25%. Task: I needed to maintain my usual 99% pick accuracy while absorbing additional pick lanes. Action: I slowed my scanning pace by 10 seconds per tote to double-check barcodes, reorganised my pick route to reduce travel time, and flagged any unclear labels to the supervisor immediately rather than guessing. Result: Over the 3-week peak period I completed 380 picks per shift on average with zero mispicks recorded, and the team met its despatch targets every day.
2Question

Describe a situation where you identified a safety or hygiene issue on the warehouse floor — what did you do?

Situation: During a routine stock replenishment run in the freezer aisle, I noticed a pallet had been stored directly in front of an emergency exit, partially blocking it. Task: As a warehouse operative I was responsible for flagging hazards immediately under site safety rules. Action: I stopped work, placed a hazard cone around the pallet, and reported the obstruction to my line manager within 5 minutes. I also logged it on the site's near-miss reporting system. Result: The pallet was relocated within 15 minutes, the exit was cleared before the next shift changeover, and the incident was used in the following week's team safety briefing to prevent recurrence.
