Dear Hiring Manager,
Turning Point's reputation for delivering person-centred drug and alcohol recovery services in Slough is exactly the clinical environment I have been seeking. As an NMC-registered independent prescriber with hands-on experience in opiate substitute treatment and alcohol detoxification, I am well placed to contribute to the prescribing team from day one.
My background in community drug and alcohol services has given me extensive experience conducting detoxification assessments, managing benzodiazepine reductions and administering Pabrinex under clinical supervision. I have worked closely with mental health and social care colleagues to develop flexible, recovery-focused support packages for clients with complex presentations, and I attend regular prescribers' meetings to maintain and develop my clinical practice.
