Unsere Tipps für Ihre Bewerbung

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Lead your Personal Statement with explicit Private Client experience — the advert lists Wills, Probate, LPAs, estate administration, and Trust work as core duties, so name each area you have handled directly.

2

📊 Quantify your caseload: e.g. 'Managed an independent caseload of 45 active Private Client matters, including 12 complex estate administrations valued at over £500,000'.

3

🎯 Highlight fee-earning experience prominently — the advert states this is 'highly beneficial' and directly influences salary up to £35k, so a dedicated line in your CV header or skills section will stand out.

4

📝 Showcase your drafting capability with a specific example: e.g. 'Drafted Wills, LPA documents, and HMRC IHT400 forms with minimal supervision across a 3-year period in a busy Wills & Probate team'.

5

🤝 Include a brief note on client care approach — the advert specifically requests a 'sensitive, professional, and empathetic' manner, so reference experience dealing with bereaved clients or vulnerable adults in your cover letter.

1Question

Tell me about a time you managed a particularly complex or high-value estate administration — what challenges arose and how did you resolve them?

Situation: I was assigned a £1.2 million intestacy estate involving three jurisdictions and a disputed beneficiary claim shortly after joining my previous firm. Task: I needed to progress the administration to grant stage while managing the dispute and keeping two sets of family members informed. Action: I coordinated with an overseas notary, prepared the HMRC IHT400 with supporting schedules, and drafted a holding letter to all parties setting out the timeline and dispute resolution process. I escalated the contested element to the supervising solicitor with a full case summary. Result: The grant was obtained within 12 weeks, the dispute was settled without litigation, and the estate was distributed in full within nine months — three weeks ahead of the agreed target.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to deliver difficult news to a bereaved client. How did you handle it?

Situation: During an estate administration, I discovered that a client's late mother had made a later Will that significantly reduced their inheritance from £180,000 to £40,000. Task: I needed to inform the client sensitively while ensuring they understood their legal position accurately. Action: I telephoned the client rather than writing, gave them time to process the information, explained the validity of the later Will clearly and without jargon, and outlined the option of seeking independent advice on a potential challenge. I followed up with a written summary the same day. Result: The client expressed gratitude for the honesty and clarity of the call, chose not to challenge the Will, and the estate was concluded without complaint. The supervising solicitor noted the call as an example of best practice in client care.
