I nostri consigli per candidarsi

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Lead your Personal Statement with your conveyancing specialism — the advert lists freehold, leasehold, new build and shared ownership as core matters, so name each explicitly at the top of your CV.

2

📊 Quantify your caseload: e.g. 'Managed a caseload of 80+ active residential conveyancing files simultaneously, achieving an average completion time of 10 weeks.'

3

🎯 Highlight any supervisory or mentoring experience directly, as the role requires advising and supervising a small team — state the number of people you have overseen.

4

🌐 Call out your Land Registry application experience (e.g. AP1, FR1, TP1 forms) as the advert specifically lists Land Registry applications as a key duty.

5

🤝 Demonstrate client-facing skills with a concrete example, such as managing client expectations through a complex leasehold transaction, as the firm emphasises personal service and quality.

Aperçu — adapté à Reed

Dear Hiring Manager,

Colchester's residential property market demands a fee earner who can handle the full spectrum of conveyancing matters without hand-holding — which is precisely the experience I bring to this role at your firm. Having managed caseloads spanning freehold, leasehold, new build, shared ownership, re-mortgages and Help to Buy transactions, I am confident I can contribute from day one while also supporting junior colleagues.

My background in residential conveyancing includes running 75+ active files simultaneously through inception to post-completion, including Land Registry applications and transfers of equity. I have also supervised and guided paralegals and junior fee earners, providing file reviews and practical guidance that improved team turnaround times by approximately 15%.

1Question

Tell me about a time you supervised or mentored a junior member of the conveyancing team — what approach did you take and what was the outcome?

Situation: A newly qualified paralegal joined our residential team during a busy period when we had 90 active files. Task: I was asked to oversee her onboarding while maintaining my own caseload of 60 files. Action: I introduced weekly 30-minute file review sessions, created a checklist for post-completion steps, and made myself available for quick queries throughout the day rather than waiting for formal meetings. I also shadowed her on her first three new build transactions to flag risks early. Result: Within 10 weeks she was managing 25 files independently, our team's average completion time dropped from 13 to 10 weeks, and she received positive client feedback on two separate matters.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to manage a particularly complex or high-pressure conveyancing file. How did you prioritise and what was the result?

Situation: I inherited a shared ownership re-sale file that was 3 weeks behind schedule due to a defect in the unregistered title. Task: The client had a fixed completion date tied to a Help to Buy equity loan offer expiring in 14 days. Action: I immediately contacted the housing association to obtain the missing title documents, instructed a specialist search agent to expedite an official copy, and liaised daily with the lender's solicitors to keep the mortgage offer live. I reprioritised my other 55 files to ensure nothing else slipped. Result: We completed on the agreed date, the client retained their Help to Buy offer worth £62,500, and the firm received a five-star Google review directly referencing my communication throughout.
