Nos conseils pour postuler

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Open your CV personal statement with the phrase 'Event Operations Manager' and reference live event production experience directly, as the advert repeats this title throughout and ATS will scan for exact matches.

2

📊 Quantify your scheduling scope: e.g. 'Managed crew scheduling for 80+ events per year across 12 UK venues, coordinating 30 part-time crew members per event cycle'.

3

🎯 Explicitly mention experience across corporate, exhibition, and brand activation sectors — the advert names all three as core client types, so matching this language signals direct relevance.

4

🚗 Include your full UK driving licence prominently in your profile or skills section, as the advert lists it as a hard requirement.

5

🔧 Highlight any experience with equipment hire processes and vehicle/transport allocation — these are called out as specific responsibilities and are easy differentiators most candidates omit from their CVs.

Aperçu — adapté à Live Recruitment

Dear Hiring Manager,

Live Recruitment's search for an Event Operations Manager to join a multi award-winning event production company is exactly the challenge I have been looking for. Having built a career around complex event scheduling, crew resourcing, and end-to-end logistics for live productions, I am confident I can step in alongside the Operations Director and immediately add structure to an increasingly demanding national schedule.

My background in event operations spans corporate, exhibition, and activation environments where I have managed part-time crew pools of 25 or more, coordinated equipment hire across concurrent events, and introduced scheduling processes that reduced last-minute resourcing gaps by roughly 30%. I hold a full UK driving licence and am comfortable moving between office, warehouse, and on-site settings as the role demands.

1Question

Tell me about a time you had to resolve a major scheduling conflict with very little notice. What did you do and what was the outcome?

Situation: Three weeks before a major corporate exhibition in Birmingham, two of our senior crew leads withdrew due to illness, leaving a 14-person team with critical skill gaps across AV and rigging. Task: I needed to fill both roles within 48 hours without disrupting the broader schedule for two simultaneous events that weekend. Action: I immediately audited our part-time crew database, identified four candidates with the right competencies, and ran back-to-back briefing calls the same afternoon. I also negotiated a one-day equipment hire extension to give the replacement crew an additional prep window. Result: Both roles were filled within 36 hours, the event ran on schedule, and the client rated the delivery 5 stars on their post-event feedback form.
2Question

Describe a situation where you identified an operational inefficiency and implemented a process improvement. What impact did it have?

Situation: At my previous company, crew scheduling was managed across three separate spreadsheets, causing double-bookings roughly once a month and costing an average of £2,200 per incident in emergency cover. Task: As Operations Manager, I was responsible for resourcing accuracy and needed to eliminate these errors without a large technology budget. Action: I mapped the existing process, identified the three handoff points where data was being duplicated manually, and built a single consolidated scheduling tool in Airtable with automated conflict alerts. I trained the full operations team of six in two sessions over one week. Result: Double-bookings dropped to zero in the following six months, saving approximately £13,000 in emergency cover costs and reducing scheduling admin time by four hours per week.
