Owen Reed is looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join the Antitrust & Competition team of a top law firm in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to become part of a highly regarded practice, providing first-class support to partners and attorneys in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The RoleAs a Legal Secretary, you will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Antitrust & Competition team. You'll work closely with partners, attorneys, and business support colleagues, helping to deliver an exceptional service to both clients and the wider firm.
Key Responsibilities- Provide proactive secretarial and administrative support to partners and attorneys.
- Prepare, format, proofread, and amend legal documents, correspondence, and presentations.
- Manage complex diaries, meetings, travel arrangements, and itineraries.
- Coordinate inboxes, calendars, and deadline management to ensure priorities are met.
- Maintain client files, electronic filing systems, and CRM records.
- Assist with timesheets, document management, and general practice administration.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm, providing support during busy periods and team absences.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the department by assisting with additional administrative tasks and projects as required.
We're looking for a highly organised and client-focused Legal Secretary who enjoys working in a busy legal environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional support.
You will have:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Excellent English language, communication, and proofreading skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Fast and accurate typing skills, including experience producing legal documents from drafts or dictation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with knowledge of Visio being advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, flexible approach to your work.
- The ability to build strong working relationships while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism.
