I nostri consigli per candidarsi
5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.
⭐ Lead your CV with a Personal Statement that explicitly names your mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND) as the advert lists this as a core requirement.
📊 Quantify your maintenance impact: e.g. 'Reduced unplanned downtime by 22% across 3 production lines through proactive planned maintenance schedules.'
🔧 Dedicate a 'Key Skills' section to welding processes (MIG, TIG, Arc, Gas) and hydraulics/pneumatics, as these are called out specifically in the advert.
🎯 If you have any PLC/HMI experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens S7, list these explicitly — they are flagged as beneficial and will differentiate your application.
🤝 Reference experience working 12-hour continental shift patterns (4 on/4 off or similar) to demonstrate you understand and can commit to the shift structure required.

Aperçu — adapté à HR GO Recruitment
Dear Hiring Manager,
HR GO Recruitment's vacancy for a Shift Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at the Clacton-on-Sea facility caught my attention immediately. With a formal mechanical engineering qualification and hands-on experience in planned maintenance, fault-finding, and hydraulics/pneumatics across continuous production environments, I am confident I can contribute to minimising downtime and driving performance on site from day one.
My background in shift-based manufacturing maintenance has seen me take ownership of critical plant — including compressors and cooling systems — while responding to reactive breakdowns under time pressure. I have developed competency in MIG and TIG welding for in-situ repairs and have carried out basic PLC fault-finding on Allen Bradley systems, which I am keen to develop further in this role.
