I nostri consigli per candidarsi

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Place your PGCE/QTS credentials prominently in your Personal Statement, as the advert lists these as non-negotiable requirements for a British Curriculum school.

2

📊 Quantify your classroom impact: e.g. 'Delivered A-Level Psychology to 3 sets of 28 students, achieving 85% A*–B grades in 2024'.

3

🌐 Highlight any prior international or multicultural teaching experience, as the school explicitly values an international environment and staff who thrive in it.

4

🎯 Reference BSO, CIS, or BSME familiarity if you have worked in a school with these accreditations — the advert names all three as key quality markers.

5

🤝 Include a bullet on extra-curricular contributions (clubs, trips, pastoral roles) as the advert specifically states the successful candidate will play an active role in wider school life.

1Question

Tell me about a time you supported a student who was struggling academically and how you adapted your approach.

Situation: A Year 13 student in my A-Level Psychology class was consistently scoring below 40% on 16-mark essay questions, putting her predicted grade at risk three months before exams. Task: I needed to identify the root cause and adjust my support without disadvantaging the rest of the group. Action: I introduced weekly one-to-one 20-minute feedback sessions using annotated mark schemes, created a structured essay scaffold specific to AQA Psychology, and paired her with a peer study partner. I also shared resources with her parents during a brief phone call. Result: By the mock examinations six weeks later, her essay scores had risen to an average of 58%, and she achieved a B grade in the final A-Level — one grade above her predicted outcome.
2Question

Describe how you have engaged parents or guardians to support a student's progress in Psychology.

Situation: During Year 11 parents' evening, I identified that four students were disengaged from independent study in Psychology, a pattern confirmed by their homework completion rate of around 45%. Task: I wanted to bring parents on board as active partners rather than simply reporting concerns. Action: I prepared a one-page summary for each family showing their child's current attainment, two specific revision strategies, and a list of free online resources aligned to the specification. I followed up with a brief email two weeks later. Result: Homework completion across those four students rose to 90% within a month, and all four passed their GCSE Psychology with grades 5 or above, compared to predicted grades of 3–4 at the start of the term.
