Looking for the perfect first step into education? Primary Schools across Haringey are recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistant candidates to join their teams from September 2026.
This Teaching Assistant role is particularly suited to Psychology graduates who want to gain meaningful classroom experience before progressing into teacher training, Educational Psychology or other specialist education roles. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils requiring additional support, helping them succeed both academically and socially.
The successful Teaching Assistant will work across a range of primary year groups, supporting whole-class learning, delivering interventions and working 1:1 with pupils who have SEND. Every Teaching Assistant day offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and develop valuable classroom skills.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities- Supporting learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 as a Teaching Assistant
- Delivering interventions and small group sessions as a Teaching Assistant
- Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and additional learning needs
- Building positive relationships with children and staff
- Encouraging confidence, resilience and engagement
- Working as part of a supportive school team as a Teaching Assistant
