Nos conseils pour postuler

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Lead your CV Personal Statement with your valid UK driving licence and clean record, as the advert lists this as the primary hard requirement.

2

📊 Quantify your delivery experience: e.g. 'Completed 25+ doorstep deliveries per shift with a 98% on-time rate across a 40-mile route.'

3

🚐 Highlight any previous van or multi-drop delivery experience explicitly — Tesco's role involves loading, vehicle checks, and timed slots, so mirror this language.

4

🤝 Include a brief example of handling a customer complaint or order issue calmly, as the advert specifically mentions communicating substitutions and offering refunds.

5

🎯 Mention availability that matches the advertised window (Mon/Tue 16:00–22:00, Sat 18:00–22:00) in your cover letter to show you meet the scheduling requirement from day one.

1Question

Tell me about a time you delivered excellent customer service under time pressure.

Situation: During a busy Saturday evening shift at a local grocery delivery company, I had 26 drops to complete in 4 hours due to a colleague calling in sick. Task: I needed to maintain on-time delivery while keeping every customer interaction warm and professional. Action: I reorganised my route using the onboard system to cluster nearby addresses, communicated proactively with two customers whose slots were running 10 minutes late, and explained a substitution clearly to an elderly customer who was initially concerned. Result: I completed all 26 deliveries within the window, received 3 positive customer comments logged by the depot, and my manager highlighted the shift in the team briefing the following week.
2Question

Give an example of when you had to deal with a frustrated or upset customer and how you resolved it.

Situation: A customer in Watford received a delivery where two items had been substituted without prior notification due to a system error. Task: I needed to de-escalate the situation at the doorstep and find a resolution quickly. Action: I listened without interrupting, apologised sincerely, and explained the substitution policy clearly. I then processed a refund on the spot for both items using the handheld device and offered to note her preferences for future orders. Result: The customer's tone shifted completely — she thanked me before I left and later gave a 5-star rating on the post-delivery survey. The depot used the interaction as a training example for handling substitution complaints.
