Our tips for applying

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Lead your CV personal statement with your valid UK driving licence and clean record, as the advert lists this as the primary hard requirement.

2

📊 Quantify your delivery experience: e.g. 'Completed 25+ customer doorstep deliveries per shift with a 98% on-time rate across a 6-month period'.

3

🎯 Highlight any experience handling customer complaints or order changes at the doorstep, as the advert specifically calls out substitutions and refunds as a core duty.

4

🚐 Mention any previous van or multi-drop delivery roles explicitly, noting vehicle types driven and any pre-drive safety check routines you followed.

5

🤝 Reference experience working independently on the road while remaining accountable to a base team, mirroring the 'independent but supported' structure described in the advert.

Exemples de réponses STAR

Réponses modèles avec la méthode Situation-Tâche-Action-Résultat. À adapter à votre vécu.

1Question

Tell me about a time you delivered excellent customer service in a challenging situation.

Situation: During a busy Saturday shift at a logistics firm, I arrived at a customer's address to find that 6 of their 20 items had been substituted due to stock shortages. Task: I needed to explain the changes clearly and maintain the customer's trust without a supervisor present. Action: I calmly walked the customer through each substitution, explained the reasons, and immediately processed a refund for the two items they did not want to keep, using the handheld device on the doorstep. I also noted their preferences for future orders. Result: The customer thanked me personally and left a 5-star feedback rating on the post-delivery survey. My manager highlighted the interaction in the weekly team briefing.
2Question

Describe a time when you had to adapt quickly to an unexpected change while working independently.

Situation: Midway through a 30-drop delivery route, my sat-nav failed and a road closure diverted me away from three consecutive addresses. Task: I had to reroute in real time to avoid missing the customers' agreed time slots. Action: I pulled over safely, used my mobile map app to identify an alternative route, and contacted the depot to flag a likely 15-minute delay on two stops. I prioritised the closest addresses first and adjusted the sequence of the remaining 12 drops accordingly. Result: I completed all 30 deliveries within the shift window, with only one customer receiving their order 8 minutes late, who was notified in advance and expressed no concern.
