Unsere Tipps für Ihre Bewerbung

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Lead your CV with a Personal Statement that explicitly mentions clean driving licence and customer-facing delivery experience, as the advert frames the driver as "the face of Tesco out on the road".

2

📊 Quantify your delivery experience: e.g. "Completed 25+ home deliveries per shift across a 40-mile radius with zero missed slots over 6 months".

3

🎯 Highlight any experience working independently without direct supervision — the advert specifically notes drivers will "feel like your own boss" for most of the day.

4

🤝 Include a bullet on handling varied customer needs at the doorstep (elderly customers, heavy items, access issues) to match the advert's emphasis on helping customers in "all kinds of different ways".

5

🌐 Mention availability and shift flexibility clearly on your CV, referencing your ability to cover the advertised windows (Sunday mornings, Monday and Friday evenings) to reassure the hiring manager you fit the scheduling requirements.

Aperçu — adapté à Tesco

Dear Hiring Manager,

Tesco's Customer Delivery Driver role at Llanelli Extra stands out to me because of its combination of genuine customer interaction and the autonomy of managing your own delivery rounds. With a strong background in van-based home delivery and a commitment to punctual, friendly service, I am confident I can represent Tesco well on the road and meet the demands of the Sunday, Monday, and Friday availability windows advertised.

My background in delivery driving includes completing up to 30 home drops per shift, handling customer queries at the doorstep, and ensuring goods are transported safely and on time. I am comfortable working independently for extended periods while staying in contact with a base team when needed, which aligns directly with how Tesco structures its delivery operation.

1Question

Tell me about a time you delivered exceptional service to a customer who had a problem with their order.

Situation: During a busy Saturday shift at a previous delivery job, I arrived at a customer's home to find that 4 chilled items were missing from their order due to a picking error at the depot. Task: The customer was elderly and had planned her meals around those items. Action: I called the depot immediately, confirmed a replacement run could be arranged within 90 minutes, and personally noted the items on the system. I also offered to carry the remaining bags inside, as she had mobility difficulties. Result: The replacement delivery arrived within 85 minutes. The customer called the store to compliment the response, and my manager shared the feedback with the wider team at the next briefing.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to manage your time independently to meet multiple deadlines in one shift.

Situation: On a Friday evening shift, two customers on my route had requested narrow delivery windows — one at 18:00 and another at 18:30 — and roadworks had added 12 minutes to my planned route. Task: I needed to honour both slots without support from the depot, as my manager was handling a separate issue. Action: I re-sequenced three stops using the in-van navigation system, cutting a 6-minute detour, and contacted both time-sensitive customers to confirm I was on track. Result: I arrived at the first address at 17:58 and the second at 18:27, both within their requested windows. I finished the full 24-drop shift only 8 minutes behind the original schedule.
