Nos conseils pour postuler

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Lead your CV with a clear driving profile at the top — the advert emphasises being "the face of Tesco out on the road", so state your valid UK driving licence category and any clean licence status prominently.

2

📊 Quantify your delivery experience: e.g. "Completed 25+ customer drops per shift across a 40-mile radius with a 99% on-time delivery rate" to show scale and reliability.

3

🎯 Highlight any prior customer-facing or home delivery experience explicitly — the advert stresses customer interaction at the doorstep, so mention named employers (e.g. Amazon Flex, DPD, Ocado) if applicable.

4

🤝 Include a line about flexibility and availability in your personal statement — the advert specifically calls out Sunday evenings, Monday evenings, and Saturday mornings, so confirm your availability for these windows.

5

🌐 Mention any experience working independently on a route without direct supervision — the advert says "you'll feel like your own boss", so evidence of self-managed workdays will resonate strongly.

Aperçu — adapté à Tesco

Dear Hiring Manager,

Tesco's reputation for putting customers at the heart of every delivery is exactly what draws me to the Customer Delivery Driver role at Llanelli Extra. With a clean UK driving licence and hands-on experience in customer-facing delivery work, I am confident I can represent Tesco professionally on the road and provide the doorstep service your customers rely on across every shift.

My background in delivery driving includes managing multi-drop routes independently, completing an average of 25 drops per shift while maintaining a strong on-time record. I am comfortable using handheld devices to manage delivery lists, capture proof of delivery, and handle exceptions such as missed drops — all without requiring close supervision. I am also fully available for the advertised Sunday evening, Monday evening, and Saturday morning windows.

Exemples de réponses STAR

1Question

Tell me about a time you delivered excellent customer service in a challenging situation.

Situation: During a busy Saturday shift at my previous delivery job, I arrived at a customer's address to find an elderly resident who had ordered medication alongside her groceries and was visibly distressed because she had been waiting longer than expected. Task: I needed to complete the delivery efficiently while also addressing her concern. Action: I calmly explained the delay, helped carry the bags to her kitchen, double-checked her order was complete, and flagged her account for a priority note on future deliveries. I also called the depot to log the issue. Result: The customer called the depot to praise the interaction, and my manager highlighted it in the team briefing the following week.
2Question

Describe a time when you had to manage your own workload independently without close supervision.

Situation: Working as a delivery driver for a local grocery firm, I was assigned a 28-drop route on a day when the depot's routing system went offline mid-shift. Task: I had to complete all drops on time using only a printed manifest and my own judgement on sequencing. Action: I reorganised the remaining 18 drops by postcode cluster, prioritised time-sensitive chilled deliveries, and communicated my revised ETA to three customers via the depot's phone number. Result: I completed all 28 drops within 12 minutes of the original finish time, with zero missed deliveries and no customer complaints logged.
