⭐ Lead your CV personal statement with your marine electrical background — the advert explicitly states marine industry experience is a 'Must Need', so make this unmissable in your opening profile.
📊 Quantify your maintenance work: e.g. 'Carried out planned maintenance on 15+ vessels annually, reducing unplanned downtime by 20%' to stand out against generic applicants.
🎯 Highlight your apprenticeship qualification prominently in your education section — the advert lists it as a key requirement, so ensure the type and awarding body are clearly stated.
🌐 Mention specific vessel types you have worked on (military, commercial, passenger, ferries) as the advert references all three sectors — matching their language improves ATS scoring.
🤝 Reference any experience deputising for or supporting senior engineers or supervisors, as the role explicitly offers progression to a managerial, off-the-tools position — demonstrating leadership potential will differentiate your application.
