I nostri consigli per candidarsi

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Place your QTS qualification prominently at the top of your CV under a dedicated 'Qualifications' section, as the advert lists it as an essential requirement.

2

📊 Quantify your SEN experience: e.g. 'Delivered personalised lessons to groups of 4–6 students with SEMH and ASD needs, improving engagement rates by 30% over one term'.

3

🎯 Dedicate a bullet point to EHCP involvement — the advert explicitly mentions EHCP support and reporting, so evidence your experience writing, reviewing, or contributing to EHCPs.

4

🌐 Highlight any Level 6 qualification (e.g. BA Education, PGCE, or specialist SEN qualification) clearly, as the advert lists a 'Relevant Level 6 qualification' as an essential requirement.

5

🤝 Include a brief example of multi-sensory teaching approaches you have used (e.g. Makaton, sensory circuits, visual timetables) to directly mirror the school's stated pedagogical focus.

1Question

Tell me about a time you successfully re-engaged a student who had previously disengaged from education.

Situation: A 14-year-old student with SEMH needs had attended fewer than 20% of sessions over the previous half-term and refused to enter the classroom. Task: I was asked to develop a re-engagement plan in collaboration with the SENCO. Action: I introduced a sensory-based morning routine, reduced written demands, and used the student's interest in construction to design project-based maths tasks. I held brief daily check-ins to build trust over three weeks. Result: Attendance rose to 80% within six weeks, and the student completed their first full scheme of work in over a year, which was noted positively in their termly EHCP review.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to adapt your teaching approach mid-lesson to meet an unexpected student need.

Situation: During a literacy session with a group of five students aged 11–13, one student became visibly dysregulated after a transition from break time, disrupting the planned activity. Task: I needed to maintain the learning environment for the other four students while supporting the distressed student. Action: I immediately switched to a visual task card activity that the group could continue independently, moved to a quieter corner of the room with the student, used a co-regulation breathing technique, and offered a sensory tool from the classroom kit. Result: The student returned to the group within eight minutes, the lesson continued with minimal disruption, and I documented the trigger in the student's behaviour log to inform future planning.
