Our tips for applying
5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.
⭐ Highlight any warehouse or trade merchant experience prominently in your Personal Statement, as the advert specifically asks for 'previous industry experience' as an ideal requirement.
📊 Quantify your warehouse output: e.g. 'Processed 150+ goods-in lines daily with 99% accuracy, reducing mispicks by 20%' to demonstrate the high-volume, high-intensity nature of the role.
🎯 Explicitly mention familiarity with WMS or ERP systems (even if not Wolseley's own) in your skills section, as the advert references the Wolseley System for booking and picking goods.
🏗️ Include any FLT licence or manual handling certification in a dedicated 'Licences & Certifications' section — the advert flags FLT as an advantage, so even a counterbalance licence will strengthen your application.
🤝 Reference experience deputising for a supervisor or covering management responsibilities, as the role explicitly requires the ability to step up for the Operations Supervisor or Manager.

Aperçu — adapté à Wolseley
Dear Hiring Manager,
Burdens' reputation as a specialist trade merchant within the Wolseley Group makes the Operations Assistant role in Warrington a strong fit for my background in warehouse operations and goods-in management. I am confident in applying manual handling techniques, maintaining PPE compliance, and using WMS platforms to book, pick, and label stock accurately at volume.
My background in distribution and warehouse environments has equipped me to process high volumes of goods-in lines against delivery notes, resolve discrepancies swiftly, and uphold housekeeping standards throughout a 45-hour working week. I have also covered supervisory duties during periods of absence, coordinating daily workflow across a team of six operatives to keep dispatch on schedule.
