Our tips for applying

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Highlight any study towards APM PFQ or PRINCE2 Foundation at the top of your CV — the advert explicitly names these as Step 1 and Step 2 of the programme, so even in-progress qualifications should be listed prominently.

2

📊 Quantify any coordination or organisational experience: "Managed scheduling for a 6-person volunteer team, reducing event setup time by 20%" — even non-project roles with measurable outcomes demonstrate readiness.

3

🎯 Use the exact phrase "entry-level project management" in your personal statement, as the advert is specifically targeting candidates without prior project experience and ATS filters will match this language.

4

🌐 Reference any experience with structured methodologies or process-driven work (e.g. checklists, workflows, event planning) to show affinity with PRINCE2's process-driven waterfall approach mentioned in the advert.

5

🤝 Emphasise soft skills the advert explicitly calls out — "organised, competent, dependable" — by backing each with a concrete example from study, volunteering, or previous employment.

1Question

Tell me about a time you had to organise a complex task or event — how did you plan and execute it?

Situation: I volunteered to coordinate a charity fundraiser for 80 attendees with a £600 budget and a 6-week lead time. Task: I needed to manage venue booking, catering, promotion, and a team of 8 volunteers simultaneously. Action: I created a simple project plan using a shared spreadsheet, assigned owners to each workstream, and held a 15-minute weekly check-in to track progress and flag blockers early. I also built a risk log noting supplier lead times. Result: The event ran on the day without incident, raised £1,450 — 140% of our target — and three volunteers said it was the best-organised event they had participated in.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to motivate others to meet a deadline or goal.

Situation: During a group university assignment, two of the four team members fell behind with two weeks to submission, putting our shared grade at risk. Task: As the informal lead, I needed to re-energise the group without causing conflict. Action: I called a short team meeting, broke the remaining work into daily micro-tasks, and paired the struggling members with those who were ahead so knowledge could transfer naturally. I sent a brief daily progress message to keep momentum visible. Result: We submitted on time, received a 67% mark — up from the 52% mid-project trajectory — and all four members said the structured approach reduced their stress significantly.
