I nostri consigli per candidarsi

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Highlight any prior SEN or one-to-one pupil support experience prominently in your Personal Statement, as the advert specifically names pupils with additional needs as a key focus.

2

📊 Quantify your classroom impact where possible: "Delivered daily one-to-one literacy sessions for 4 KS1 pupils, contributing to a 15% improvement in reading assessments over one term."

3

🎯 Mention your Enhanced DBS status explicitly in your CV header or profile section — the advert flags this as a requirement and confirming it upfront removes a barrier for the recruiter.

4

🌐 Reference experience in mainstream primary settings specifically, as the advert distinguishes this from specialist or secondary provision — Gloucester mainstream context matters here.

5

🤝 Include a brief line on supporting classroom routines and organisation, as the advert lists this alongside SEN support — showing breadth across both areas strengthens your application.

1Question

Tell me about a time you supported a child who was struggling academically or emotionally — what did you do and what was the outcome?

Situation: A Year 2 pupil in my class was significantly behind in reading and becoming withdrawn during group activities. Task: My role was to provide daily one-to-one reading support while keeping the child engaged and confident. Action: I worked with the class teacher to identify a structured phonics programme and incorporated the pupil's interest in animals into reading material choices. I also checked in briefly each morning to build rapport before sessions began. Result: Over 8 weeks, the pupil progressed from reading at a Reception level to a secure Year 1 standard, and their classroom participation visibly increased. The class teacher noted the improvement at the half-term review.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to adapt quickly to an unexpected change in the classroom — how did you respond?

Situation: Midway through a small-group maths session, the class teacher was called out of the room to deal with an urgent matter, leaving me responsible for the full class of 27 pupils. Task: I needed to maintain calm and continue productive learning without the planned lesson resources, which the teacher had taken with her. Action: I transitioned the class into a familiar times-tables activity the children already knew, keeping the pace brisk and using a call-and-response format to hold attention. I circulated continuously and addressed low-level disruption calmly and quickly. Result: The class remained on task for the 20 minutes until the teacher returned, and no learning time was lost. The teacher thanked me and noted my composure in her weekly feedback.
