I nostri consigli per candidarsi
5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.
⭐ Open your Personal Statement by naming your NASENCO qualification (or equivalent) and any direct experience managing SEND provision in an inner-city or culturally diverse school, as the advert specifically highlights this context.
📊 Quantify your SEND caseload: e.g. 'Coordinated EHCPs for 34 pupils across KS1–KS4, reducing review backlog by 60% within one term' — the advert values measurable outcomes for every child.
🎯 Dedicate a CV section to staff development you have led around SEND, such as delivering twilight CPD sessions or coaching TAs, as the advert explicitly requires influencing and developing staff practice.
🤝 Highlight experience working with families and external agencies (e.g. CAMHS, Educational Psychology, Speech & Language) as the advert stresses strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.
🌐 Emphasise any experience with culturally diverse or EAL pupil cohorts, since the school describes itself as 'culturally rich' and inner-city — this differentiates your application from candidates without that context.

Dear Hiring Manager,
Tradewind Recruitment's listing for a SENCo at this inner-city Nottingham school caught my attention immediately. The school's commitment to high expectations for every child, combined with the need for someone who can lead SEND provision and actively develop staff practice, aligns precisely with the work I have built my career around. My experience coordinating EHCPs, managing multi-agency relationships, and delivering SEND-focused CPD makes me confident I can step into this role and make an impact from day one.
My background in special educational needs coordination spans five years in mainstream primary settings, where I have overseen caseloads of up to 40 pupils with a range of needs including SEMH, ASD, and speech and language difficulties. I have led annual review cycles, reduced EHCP completion timelines by 40%, and introduced a whole-school tracking system that gave class teachers real-time visibility of pupil targets. I am equally comfortable in the classroom, maintaining the high-quality teaching practice the role demands.
