Unsere Tipps für Ihre Bewerbung

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Lead your CV with your valid UK driving licence details (full/automatic, years held, penalty points) as this is the single non-negotiable requirement stated in the advert.

2

📊 Quantify your delivery experience: e.g. 'Completed 25+ customer drops per shift across a 40-mile radius with zero missed time slots over 6 months'.

3

🎯 Highlight any experience handling customer complaints or order changes at the doorstep, as the advert specifically calls out substitutions and refund conversations.

4

🤝 Mention experience working independently on the road while reporting back to a base team — the advert explicitly describes this working pattern as central to the role.

5

🚐 Include any van or vehicle safety check experience (pre-drive walkarounds, load securing) as the advert lists these as direct responsibilities.

Aperçu — adapté à Tesco

Dear Hiring Manager,

Tesco's reputation for putting customers first is exactly the standard I hold myself to on the road — which is why the Customer Delivery Driver role at the Dorchester Superstore appeals to me directly. I hold a valid full UK driving licence with no penalty points, and I have hands-on experience managing doorstep customer interactions, including handling order substitutions and processing refunds calmly and professionally.

My background in delivery and customer-facing work has equipped me to operate independently across varied routes while maintaining the punctuality and care that every customer expects. I understand that each delivery is someone's weekly shop, and I treat every order accordingly — from loading the van safely to leaving the customer feeling genuinely well looked after.

Exemples de réponses STAR

Réponses modèles avec la méthode Situation-Tâche-Action-Résultat. À adapter à votre vécu.

1Question

Tell me about a time you delivered excellent service to a customer who was initially unhappy.

Situation: During a home delivery shift, I arrived to find a customer upset because three items in her order had been substituted without clear explanation. Task: I needed to resolve her frustration quickly and professionally at the doorstep. Action: I calmly walked her through each substitution, explained the reasons, offered a full refund on the two items she didn't want, and personally noted her preferences for the store team. I stayed composed throughout and made sure she felt heard. Result: She thanked me before I left and later gave a 5-star rating on the post-delivery survey, mentioning me by name. The store manager shared her feedback at the next team briefing.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to adapt quickly to an unexpected change while working independently.

Situation: Midway through a 30-drop delivery shift, my sat-nav failed and two road closures due to a burst water main blocked my planned route. Task: I had to reroute on the fly to avoid missing 8 remaining time slots. Action: I pulled over safely, used my knowledge of the local area and a backup maps app on my phone to replan the final leg of the route, prioritising the two customers with the tightest windows. I called the store to flag the delay for one customer. Result: I completed all 30 deliveries within the shift window, with only one customer notified of a 12-minute delay, and received no complaints.
