I nostri consigli per candidarsi

5 recommandations générées par notre IA pour maximiser vos chances.

1

⭐ Lead your CV with your valid UK driving licence details (full or automatic, issued date, penalty points) as the advert lists this as the primary hard requirement.

2

📊 Quantify your delivery experience: e.g. 'Completed 25+ customer doorstep deliveries per shift across a 40-mile radius with a 98% on-time rate'.

3

🎯 Highlight any experience handling customer complaints or order changes, as the advert specifically calls out explaining substitutions and issuing refunds at the doorstep.

4

🚐 Mention vehicle maintenance awareness — the advert requires daily van checks and roadworthiness sign-off, so note any experience with pre-drive vehicle inspections.

5

🤝 Reference team collaboration alongside independent working, as the role explicitly values both self-directed delivery rounds and supporting a store-based team.

1Question

Tell me about a time you had to deliver difficult news to a customer — how did you handle it?

Situation: While working as a delivery driver for a grocery retailer, I arrived at a customer's address to find that 3 items in their order had been substituted with alternatives due to stock shortages. Task: I needed to explain the changes clearly and maintain the customer's confidence in the service. Action: I calmly walked the customer through each substitution, explained why the original items were unavailable, and offered a refund on two items they did not want to keep. I apologised sincerely without being dismissive. Result: The customer thanked me for being upfront and left a positive feedback note. My manager highlighted the interaction during the next team briefing as an example of good doorstep communication.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to adapt quickly to an unexpected change while working independently.

Situation: Midway through a 25-stop delivery round, my navigation app flagged a road closure due to an emergency, affecting 8 of my remaining drops. Task: I needed to replan my route on the spot to avoid missing customer time slots. Action: I pulled over safely, used a secondary map application to identify an alternative route, and contacted my depot to flag a likely 15-minute delay on two deliveries. I prioritised the furthest drops first to minimise overall lateness. Result: I completed all 25 deliveries with only one customer receiving their order 10 minutes outside the slot, and that customer had already been notified and was understanding.
